We are a small group of foreigners who are permanent residents of Hong Kong.
Instead of wasting time drinking in Lan Kwai Fong, or in our case the more salacious bars of Wanchai, we have decided that as foreigners living here, we have a responsibility to speak up and contribute our small part in making Hong Kong a better place. We are not fighting for the rights of the expatriate population - we are fighting for the betterment of Hong Kong for the entire community.
We represent the new breed of immigrants who are here without the expatriate perks. As permanent residents in Hong Kong, we feel we are as much Hongkongers as anyone else.
We welcome more local Chinese people to join us either in public or behind the scenes.
Our group is also a member of the newly formed local Chinese political organization called The League of Social Democrats (www.lsd.org.hk).
